This fabulous quilt dates to the 1950's, and is handmade. The quilt is made from a finely quilted white cotton, against which the prints of the appliqued butterflies show to great effect. The fabrics of the butterflies are faded floral print cottons, in pretty shades of blue, green, red and mauve. These are edged with contrast stitching for extra definition. The edges of the quilt are bound with pale blue cotton.

This quilt would look incredible as a wallhanging, or in a cot or childs bed for that nostalgic nursery style.

The quilt is in crisp clean condition, no flaws noted. It measures 48" by 62".
