Tea for two and two for tea...This tea gown dates to the early 1930's, and is made from oyster muslin and net. It is bias cut, with bias net ruffles trimming the skirt in an ssymetric design, and ruffled sleeves. The upper bodice is sheer with a romantic heart shaped inner layer for modesty. There is an optional sash which you can add to give more definition to the waist, it has poppers sewn onto it which pop onto the dress.

The dress has a label inside it, which reads 'A Marion Prince Dress' (rare for this time period when most women sewed their own clothes or had a dressmaker). This would make a lovely gown for a low key wedding, or for a bridesmaid.

This dress is in very good condition, with no faults noted. When laid flat, it measures as follows:

  • Bust - 36"
  • Waist - 31"
  • Hips - 38"
  • Sleeve length - 4"
  • Cuff width - 7.5"
  • Shoulder to waist length - 14"
  • Waist to hem length - 40"
  • Overall length - 54"
