This lovely dress has a glamour and lavishness of cut that characterised the 1950's. The fabric is a heavy cream silk moire, which falls in sumptuous folds from the pleated waist, and down into the full train. The bodice has a netting panel at the top, which is ornamented by two rows of rhinestone trimmed floral lace.
The bodice is very fitted, in contrast to the fullness of the skirt, and the sleeves are cut slim with pointed cuffs and tiny silk buttons trimming them. The train has an unusal feature, a six inch slit over the seat, with hook and eye (the eye is missing) on either side of the slit, which when fastened together creates a slight bustle effect. There are also a number of ties underneath the train enabling it to be gathered up. This dress is in superb condition, with no faults noted. When laid flat, it measures as follows: £450.00 This price includes recorded delivery within the UK. Use the button below to purchase online.
