There are no signs of wartime restrictions on this luscious dress - the 1945 bride who wore it must have had connections in high places! The dress is just magnificent, from the richness of the satin and lace to the sweepingly generous train. The dress is ivory, with a deeper ivory shade for the lace trimming. The bodice has lace panels down each side, and lace vee highlighting the waist, lace puffed shoulders, a deep lace panel on the back of the bodice and ruffled lace edging the train.
As if this wasn't enough, there are five satin roses trimming the bodice, which is ruched into them to gorgeous effect. The sleeves are tightly fitted, with poppers at the cuff, and have pointed cuffs which sit over the hands. We are including the original veil and tiara that was worn with this dress, but the veil is showing signs of its age, so you may wish to have similar one made up in its place. This dress is in superb condition, with no faults noted apart from one small water mark on the train, as shown. When laid flat, it measures as follows:
